INTRODUCTION TO BY HER OWN

BY HER OWN celebrates women’s emotional nature with insight, wit and wisdom. Women become empowered by learning to experience their range of emotions from a perspective of wholeness. More than a way of coping, this book uses feelings as a springboard for reflection and action. 

These verses came to me during a period of emotional turbulence. They brought stability and strength as well as deep comfort when I felt overwhelmed by despair. 

I have created this format to integrate my art and poetry while including practical wisdom and actions. In a fast paced, multi-tasking world, women (and men) are increasingly challenged to find ways to connect to themselves that are nourishing and expansive. BY HER OWN addresses this need. It embraces the vitality of feelings and provides guidance through simple actions to inspire a more truthful way of living.
