Jenny Eda Schipper expresses herself in multiple art forms.  Having grown up in Detroit and Wisconsin, Jenny moved to New York City in 1975 after university to pursue modern dance. Within a few years, she began to write poetry and prose and eventually started to paint. Then came performance pieces, juxtaposing poetry and movement.
In 1996 Jenny left New York to live in Toronto with her husband, John, where she studied painting and continued writing. Two years later she moved with her husband to Southern California where she now resides.
In January 2007, she was published as a joint author in a book about patriarchy entitled THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL: An Exposition of Prejudice,Fundamentalism and Gender Imbalance by Sharon G. Mijares, Aliaa Rafea, Rachel Falik and Jenny Eda Schipper - Imprint Academic/UK (2007).
Currently she is writing short stories, articles and co-editing a new book. Jenny also teaches Yoga.
